Estaba a punto de subir otro imagen de vuelo pero en el último segundo me he decidido por algo diferente, más artístico y creativo. Esta mañana he estado trabajando en el que será mi nuevo cuadro. Uno realmente grande... el más grande que he pintado hasta ahora (2,44x1,22m). Un auténtico desafío para mí, ya que es el doble de grande que el mayor cuadro que he hecho hasta ahora, pero es divertivo y satisfactorio porque he estado sin inspiración durante mucho tiempo y es genial volver a recibir la visita de las musas. En fin que la mañana dedicada a preparar pinceles, pinturas y soporte es la responsable de que me haya decidido por una imagen artñistica y haya guardado el vuelo para otra ocasión. Esta pareja de pequeñas siluetas son un par de zampullines cuellinegros (Podiceps nigricollis) nadano en el reflejo de la puesta de sol. Es un gran recorte (4,5Mp) que procede de un original a 6Mp porque estaban muy lejos de mi alcance y no es la imágen más nítida que he hecho pero me gusta la fuerza grápfica que tiene: simetría, colores, simplicidad de color, equilibrio... me recuerda a uno de esos iconos orientales "Ying-Yang". I was almost ready to post another flight image but in the last second I decided to go for something different, a more creative image. This morning, I have been at home, working on a new painting. A really big one... the biggest I have done to date (2,44x1,22m). A real challenge for me because it is twice the size of my biggest painting, but it is very funny to do and very rewarding because I have been without inspiration for a very long time and it is great when inspiration decides to visit you. I think that my morning devoted to painting is the reason why I post this image. This couple of small silouettes is a pair of black necked grebes (Podiceps nigricollis) swiming right on the sun set reflection. It is a big crop (4,5Mp) because they were very far from my reach and it is not the sharpest image I have ever done but I like the strong graphic power: simmetry, simplycity of composition, colors, balance... it looks to me like one of those oriental "Ying-Yang" icons and I like the overall result and I think that I will keep it.
